for a while, emery has been very vocal, but mostly with noises and grunts not syllables. and about two weeks ago, she added some high-pitched squeals to the mix. starting about that same time, she would occasionally babble syllables, but only when she was crying: "waaaaaaah, ya ya ya ya." and this week she started babbling syllables as part of her regular babbling. i've heard: ba ba ba, ya ya ya, gla gla gla, na na na, and our favorite: da da da. even still when she's mad, she'll cry: da da da da. she loves her daddy :) maybe she'll save ma ma ma for when she's happy!

That is so cute! Our girl is talking in English we can understand! Both Blake and Brandon continued to use a language that sounded more German or Vietnamese than English. When we were in the store and we heard a language I didn't understand I would turn to Blake or Brandon (which ever was the baby at the time) and ask them what they were saying.
